SEF Board Meeting 3-8-22
March 27, 2022
SEF Board Meeting 4-5-22
March 30, 2022March 28, 2022
This is the new Board’s first effort to contact you and keep you informed about things we are working on. In the future we will be using the Summit Estates at Fischer web pages to keep our members informed. Check our website regularly to learn what is happening in our community.
The Board is forming a Maintenance Committee for our community. We are seeking volunteers who are willing to participate. This committee will be tasked with maintaining assets and facilities owned by our Property Owners’ Association. Is the gate stuck? Is a sign down? We will ask committee members to help fix these. Our roads are our most valuable asset, but we don’t have a maintenance plan for our roads. We will ask the maintenance committee to help lead the effort to develop, then implement a maintenance plan for our roads. Please contact our management company to volunteer; SMTX Property Management (512) 667-6485.
The Board is also in the process of forming a Neighborhood Committee. Our intent is to give our members a way to bring concerns to the board and seek feedback from the board, while also being able to engage with their neighbors in a facilitated manner. We have asked Loy Moe to serve as the Chair for this committee. Moe has been very active. He has put together a plan to define Blocks or neighborhoods and then recruit Block Captains to represent each of these neighborhoods to the board. He has a few neighborhoods where he still needs a volunteer to serve as a Block Captain. Please consider volunteering to join this committee to assist Moe and your neighbors. He needs volunteers for:
101-431 Lets Roll. Including 393 Eagle
435-539 Lets Roll
510-618 Stars and Stripes, including United
706-735 Stars and Stripes
We recently appointed new members to our Architectural Control Committee. Currently Andrea Cash and Kitty Knowles are serving on the ACC. They are up and running and doing a great job. If you need to contact the ACC members, please use the form on our web page.
The Board of directors held its first called meeting on March 8. During that meeting Directors generally got their feet on the ground and worked to transition operations to the new members. Minutes from that meeting along with the 2021 financial report and 2022 budget will be posted on the web site very soon. If you would like to contact any or all the Directors and officers, please use the form provided on our web page and we will follow up with you. Our new directors include:
William Conrad, President
Steve Ferrell, Vice president
Nancy Carr, Treasurer
Aaron Brown, Secretary
We have scheduled four regular meetings of the Board of directors. Agendas will be posted on the mailboxes and on the web site a week before each scheduled meeting. There will also be called meetings scheduled from time to time. Those agendas will also be posted, but seventy-two hours before the called meetings.
We are working to schedule use of the Fischer Community Center (Old Fischer School) for our board meetings. We haven’t fully accomplished that yet, and our next meeting will be held at the home of VP Ferrell. We encourage each of the Association’s members to attend any board meeting. However, we do ask that you RSVP by contacting the management Company, SMTX (512) 667-6485 so that we can make plans to accommodate you. The need for your RSVP will likely change once we start meeting at the community center.
The board’s Tentative schedule is:
April 5, 2022
June 21, 2022
October 11, 2022
December 13, 2022
Again, please visit our web pages when you are looking for information about our community.
Thank you for trusting us with leadership of your community.
William Conrad, President
