ARA (ACC) Architectural Review Authority: The state of Texas has changed the name from “ACC to ARA”. The ARA Team has been working diligently to update and digitize all properties in the neighborhood. Any type of structure requires ARA approval. Response time to requests have been appropriate and efficient, maintaining the laws set by our Deed Restrictions and State Codes.
The Team asks that all residents and property owners be very aware of the highly flammable dry mulch, tree limbs, shrubs, and wood material on your property. Please have these removed to reduce the possibility of fires during our very hot and dry summers. Parking hot vehicles on dry grass is potentially dangerous as well. When we do have times the Burn Ban is off, and if you’re going to burn, please follow the burn requirements set by the Fire Marshal. Imagine what an out of control rapidly advancing fire can do to our neighborhood. Please do your part to help protect us all from fires.
From our Treasurer – It’s important that we’re all aware of some of the challenges the POA Board faces financially. For example, the 3-mailboxes being installed, with shipping, are $8,177. To save on installation costs we have neighborhood volunteers and POA Board members doing the work to save the community money.
The community website continues to be a work in progress. Please visit and see what’s new.
Our Neighbor, Don Fonner has raised his hand and volunteered for helping us with our maintenance projects. He’s initially focused on our front entrance, the gate, water drainage, the erosion along the fence, cleaning the fence, the additional mailboxes coming soon, and more. Please be a part of helping Don to maintain our neighborhood.
We are hiring a new company to mow alongside our roads. You should start seeing them soon.
Beautification Team: We have four folks that will be working with me to cleanup and rework our front entrance to make it more attractive. You will start seeing the results of our work soon. I’ve treated it for fire ants, and sprayed weed killer. Soon we’ll trim up, and clean up, and determine what’s next from there. We need more volunteers!
Moe & Block Captains: This Team is there to help with communication to and from the Board and committees. But, we still need 2-Block Captains to complete the team – Stars & Stripes Unit 1, addresses 405-452 and 510-618, United is included. Also need a Block Captain for Let’s Roll Unit 1, addresses 101-431. Please volunteer to be a part of this very important Team. If you want to help on another Team, or just want to help sometimes, they’re your go-to folks.
We want to help build strong neighborly relationships throughout the community. If you are interested in spearheading a project to do that, contact your Block Captain. Here are just a few ideas:
We have several cul-de-sacs in the neighborhood than can be used, utilizing electrical outlets by a close pole. Or someone can share an open flat grassed space on their property, or a large flat concrete pad.
And, if we have a family that is truly in need of help, examples, from illness or an accident, lead an effort to offer and help them get through the difficult time.
“Always be the neighbor you would want next to you.” – Your POA Board
